21 Lions for Havas. Twice as much as in 2009 and 2008 (11 and 10) and 3 times more than in 2007 (7).
Hip Hip Hurray everyone !
On the advertising side : The big winner is BETC ER with 9 Lions (1 Gold, 6 Silver & 2 Bronze), their absolute record to date. 2 Lions for ER Spain (1 Gold & 1 Bronze) 2 Lions for ER New York (1 Gold & 1 Bronze) 2 Lions for H (1 Silver & 1 Bronze) with ER Milan 1 Lion for ER Brussels (Silver) 1 Lion for ER Vienna (Silver) 1 Lion for Arnold Boston (Silver) 1 Lion for Palm+Havas Canada (Bronze)
On the media side : 2 Lions for Havas Media : 1 Silver for Havas Sports & Entertainment London & 1 Bronze for MPG Chile.
An historical prize-list, even if we are helped by the depreciation of the shows that multiply categories.
This year saw a decline for Havas Media (5 Lions in 2009, 2 in 2008, none in 2007), and no awarded production coming from Asia or Latin America (except the Chilean bronze) which is incredibly striking considering that these 2 continents, with Latin America in the lead, are exploding.
Our major weakness remains Cyber (1 Silver for BETC ER), in which Anglo-Saxons and Nordics triumph over Latins.
Last but not least, no presence in Titanium & Integrated, which have become the two star categories.
Improving our score in 2011 calls for maintaining the level for our awarded agencies and rallying to strengthen our big absentees from this year’s prize-list.
